We have changed our online prescriptions ordering service to Patient Access

MEDICATION :- Patient Access is a secure way to send your repeat medication requests via the internet. It allows you to view the items on your repeat prescription and order them at the click of a mouse. You can then view the progress of your request and will be able to see when it has been dealt with. You will also be able to look back at previous requests you have made.

Please note that we will have to accept your registration first and this may be the next working day, before you can order prescriptions.

  You will not need to bring ID into the surgery unless we ask you to

 Posting or bringing into the surgery the computer slip attached to your repeat    prescription.

If you wish us to return your prescription by post please provide a stamped address envelope

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed

Repeat prescriptions can be collected from the surgery Monday - Friday 8am - 6.30pm.

If ordering Warfarin

• Medication dose changed YES/NO

Is my information secure?

All information that is sent to >your surgery via Patient Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and your GP surgery are able to see this information

By 2015 the government are hoping that all patients will have access to their medical records so we are looking into this for the future through Patient Access and will keep you informed at all stages .

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

Sometimes we need further information and if so we will contact you either by email or Phone.

If you do not receive a second email your prescription will be ready after 2:30pm at the Surgery as below or the day after at chosen Chemist.

Please be aware that requests for a chemist collection can sometimes take an extra day.
